Any D1 (and '94 RRC) 3.9 engine with the serpentine belt drive front end, approximately '94-'98, will bolt in complete and be correct for your vehicle.
Hi All,
Looks like my finances will only allow for a second hand replacement engine to go into my 97 V8i Discovery.
Just wondering if anyone knows between what years models I can look at for a donor engine?
Not knowing too much about this myself, I want to make sure I comply with all regulations etc and don't want to have to upgrade/change all the other bits and pieces to get it up and running.
Given mines a 97, it obvious that a V8 from another 97 would be ideal, but how early/late can I go?
Cheers,
Shamat

A somewhat related subject bee utey, what year was the high compression engine fitted from? Mine is a 98, and has the 9.35:1, but seems to be a rarity.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
If I had my conversion done you could have mine, complete with LPG mixer. Unfortunately I've got a fair bit of saving to do before I'm done.
