Your tacho runs off the alternator. Either the alternator is being drowned or the wet belt is slipping. No big deal.
Triumph Rover Spares (Adelaide, ph (08) 8384 6933) or any other LR wrecker will no doubt sell you some wheel nuts.
Hey guys,
As the title says, when im going through the odd water crossing, i temporarily lose the operation of my tacho, usually only for a matter of seconds, can anyone shed some knowledge on this please?

worst case its the winding that the tacho is feeding off of suffering from a open or short circuit diode.
