    Was Going Great UNTIL...

Anyways as you can gather i have been taking the Rover out for a spin, While trying to get out of this in low range diff lock i lost drive to my wheels (after 4 hours of back and forward flogging).

put it back into high range and all is good and even the diff lock started doing its job which got me out of there.... after 4 hours....

So it seems like my diff-lock was not working at all before and and if i put it in low it works, then when i kick it over to the diff-locked position all drive is gone like its in neutral.

Could it be to do something with the gear selector? or could it be the transfer case (assuming low and high range is handled by it)

Oh n the mud came in the door abit :-(

Update for those reading on my build, its now got hurricane extractors into dual 2" exhuast, Dobinson lift kit,Maxxis Bravo Mud terrain tyres.

By diff-lock do you mean centre diff, or do you have a cross axle lock (eg ARB airlocker)?

If the centre diff - it sounds as if you only put it into diff-lock once you got stuck? If these assumptions are correct, you should have the centre diff locked well before venturing into this sort of situation ! That way you won't have problems trying to engage it. Often you need to push it right over and drive for a few yards before it actually 'locks'
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

CDL, was in before, but after awhile i lost power to the wheels, like as if i was in neutral, later on i have checked low range, it works, then when i knock it over to CDL it goes as if its in neutral and i have to go back into high range to be able to move.

I know from experience that my CDL will pop into neutral if I don't hold pressure on it for a few seconds while moving so it locks in properly. I can feel the lever move further forward. If not in properly it will engage but pop out almost indiscernibly when the load comes off for a fraction.
Hope it's something simple like this.
