How did you attach the whole lot to the body?
I imagine the seat belt mounting bolts are the only readily available bolt holes... but supposedly this is a no no as they are designed to take the load of a human in a crash, not a human + drawer system
Hi Streaky,
Its pretty rigid when knocked together and mine has been in place since 2003 without any drama's and some big trips on badly corrugated roads, Simpson desert etc. The stuff I used was from a mob called Capral Aluminium (4 metre lengths) and they also have some lipped box section thats good for shelving etc. I'm not sure if you can get it in UAE though?
I bought an Aluminium cutting blade for my drop saw which made the cutting easy but it can be done by hand with a mitre block. Heavy duty fridge slides from a German mob called Hettich have also stood up to the test of time. You want to make the frame so it can slide in and out of the back for easy removal, I have to unlatch the rear door stopper when removing but its easy done.
If you can get it in bulk Its also good gear to have around the house and I've used it for all sorts such as book shelves. Roof top tent retrieval hoist etc.
Cheers
Mark

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
