Just a bit of moral support. I'm still in the process of getting my revs down. I've had my stepper unplugged for about 2 months now after the revs hit 2000. I managed to get them as low as 1000 by unplugging the stepper motor after adjusting it manually. I've had the engine scanned at my local and it says that it is sitting at 71 steps when warm. It should be around 30. I don't know how and I don't know why. Do you get that lovely thump when going into reverse at 1000 revs? I get around that by putting the A/C on and letting it drop the revs for me. Apparently a Faultmate can adjust the steps, so instead of giving any more money to the mechanic so "he can have a bit of a look and see what he can do", I'll be buying one of those asap. Another method apparently is to Reset Adaptive Values, but not too sure of the other effects on the motor if you do this. Good luck, and if you get it sorted let me know. Any info on this would be appreciated. Of course I'll also let you know if I ever get mine fixed.
Cheers
