Well all I can say is a think 11.7ltrs per 100kms . Is not too bad for a 4b with lift bigger tyres racks bull bar and all the other items. Iv had standard landcruisers before my conversion that have not even got close to that. Go the little disco tdi. "Wow never thought I would say that!!"

The missus made me buy the disco honest.

    first tank was 11.67L / 100km.

edit - 245/75/16 AT (i think), no lift, no known fuel/intake/exhaust mods.

    14-15l/100km.

    235/85r16's. 2" Lift.

    Low Power.

Smoke at idle and when driving.

    High EGT's.

No Idea what is wrong but I will figure it out one day

Just put new injectors in. Before the new injectors economy was 17/100.

    Cheers, Adam.

0/100km at the moment. Disco is sitting in the driveway waiting for me to change the clutch and bastard fork that has finally punched thru after 11 years. Honestly other times 7.8-8.5L on the highway and about 9.5-10.2l in town and the hills.

    Adam,

I had the same problem with smoke and I blocked the EGR valve and it was all gone. I only had to block the vacuum pipe coming of the EGR (since I have Auto EDC).

So per your account replacing injectors helped improve the millage by 2-3liters per 100?
    That's good.

    Economy

Owned a 97 disco manual averaged 900 to 940 on a trip brother has 93 2.5td always gets over 900 to a tank even round town. (Drives like captain slow) I've just bought a 95 300td got over 900 out of first tank considering the weight etc I'd say these are bloody great on fuel.

I agree chaining injectors to get a 2-3l/100km improvement is good, but I won't lie.... even at 14l/100km I am jealous of anyone getting 12l/100km, let alone 10l/100km!!

    Cheers, Adam.
