Fitted the Dominator winch and fixed a slight problem with the airbox.
The fairlead required some creative adjustment to the bullbar to get it to work but it got there in the end

Found some box section dumped in a plantation.
Not being one to like to see good stuff go to waste i decided i would reclaim it.
Then got bored so started making myself a roof rack for summer/camping out of my newly found steel. (thanks to the filthy ***** who dumps stuff in our plantations)
Thinking when i finish that i might make myself a ladder for the back so i can get up on it lol.

same bullbar as me. i put a hawse on mine too. you needed to buy offset one to fit it properly. i think there's a pic of mine a few posts up on this thread. but i do agree it looks nice with the straight fairlead.
PS are those recovery points on the bottom where you have shackles? mine has them too but they look pretty thin to be honest, not sure how they rate. the arb guy i asked couldnt tell me either. then again, they are the most useless shop ive ever been to.
Done yesterday at the Winter Wombat camp.......
Killed it![]()
I assume they are recovery points, but I also have chassis recovery points at the front at least.
And I probably should have researched the winch a little more but it was a deal so figured why not replace the old one that sorta worked with a shiny new one.
Fixed my Cruise Control today.
Only took me a couple months to find out the damn problem.
Fixed fuel tank breather. Fun job![]()
Disco broke down just as i went through a nice puddle too.
Limped home and now in the process of doing the bee utey lucas ignition amp conversion Got the module and now lookin around for a Bosch MEC717 type coil.
Never a dull day with the old disco i gotta say.
Just wish more time was spent enjoying and less time fixing.
