Well I just got down to Panton Hill area today and met up with the other half of the fuel, errr... I mean my friend.
The plan is to get organized tomorrow, buy a few extra things we still need (anyone know of a place that SWAPS camping gas bottles, like the kind for a Primus two burner stove?), and then start Sunday morning down the great ocean road after which the plan was to head Northwest through the Grampians, Flinders Ranges, and onto the Olga's by as much dirt possible (with the recent weather I'll have to check if the original route plans are still viable).
You are near by then , there is a gas place in Briar Hill that can refill your bottle.

I was hoping to find one that swaps them as on one of my bottles is out of date.
Yeah that's what I was afraid of.
You could get a 4 kg and an adaptor if space permits.
Dave
I didnt think "Swap & Go" type places stock them with anything but POL fittings.
But then again ive never asked for anything but POL so would be worth a try.
Just make sure you can get them anywhere you plan on going as a lot of places dont have the refilling facilities any more.
Dave
They call them a camper bottle , 4kg with a vertical 3/8 fitting.
They are taller and narrower than the 4kg with POL fitting so dont fit in a holder as tight.
