I'm also gonna be adding wheel arches once the TYRES are changed over, I've had a look on paddockspares and they offer two different sizes, 50mm flexible arches and 75mm flexible arches, Being that these tyres aren't overly large I'm assuming the 50mm will be the better fit?

I do alot of sand driving so I'm opting for the wider tyres to gain a larger footprint
This is a photo of my car with the current tyres which are 235/75/16 and even now I'd like to fit a set of arches

I'm not looking to go overly large as at the moment my disco is also my everyday driver, also using it to tow my boat so not looking to compromise anything.
My dad has a set of coopers in this size mounted on his 1998 defender and they seem to be a good size

Why don't you just go to clark rubber and get some rubber flares? Quick and simple, no cutting of the guards and a damm site cheaper. This is what I am going to put on my DD when I get my 265/70s.

Don't have a Clarke's rubber anywhere near me because I'm about 450kms from the nearest city. I can source smaller flares online which is no problem I'm not set on those two from paddockspares

I'm happy going for the AT/3's at the moment, My dad has them on his defender and I find they provide a good mix of traction on the different surfaces we have around where we live.

Tread width on the AT/3s on my dads defender is 9 inches, had quite a few people say so far that they'd fit the standard rims with just a camel cut and a slight adjustment of the steering, Don't have the tools or time at the moment to change offset of the rims
