98 disco 300tdi Aircon compressor clutch/pulley
So today after a painful issue with the immobilizer, that is now solved. My trusty disco 1 decided to make a noise which reminded me of every scary movie I have ever seen! Very loud screaming noise! Upon inspection I noticed the air con belt was not spinning!
I have now take the clutch/pulley off the compressor and it appears to have exploded......
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? It looks like I won't have to replace the compressor, so I'm trying to fond the clutch and pulley, any ideas? Cheers

I tried to find one a couple years back and had no luck - as it turned out my issue was only wiring fortunately.
Has your bearing siezed, or is there more damage? If its just bearing its replaceable - do a search on this forum.
Maybe get a whole second hand unit from ebay or wreckers and just use the clutch/pulley unit. Then you will also have a spare compressor - might work out cheaper.

Unfortunately the clutch looks like its imploded! So the bearing is the least of my worries, I'm gonna try and get a secondhand one and just use the clutch off it so I don't have to break the system!

Just been down at all 4x4 spares in kotara and its a different compressor to the V8. To top off no where in Newcastle has one out of a diesel!

You could go to a aircon place and if they have the tools, get a used clutch from a Toyota and machine it down to fit. I had this done by a A/C specialist workshop, and didn't cost much at all. But it depends on the willingness and skill of the mechanic. Many will say just buy a new compressor.
