I picked up a second hand airbag compatible TJM bar for $ 600 a couple of years back.

The D1 doesn't have crush cans like the D2 so a RRC one is more likely to fit than a D2 bar.
    Good to know, cheers.

I have a used bar for sale in the markets area. ☺

    Not sure of airbag compatibility.

Yeah that's an MCC bar, exactly what I'm looking for pics of on a Disco.

Cheers for the pic, that looks pretty cool. Any comments or feedback on the bar, from someone who actually has one fitted?

To expand on this a little...

I've been helping him install a new winch and noticed that on his new MCC he has done some diy reinforcing on the inside.

This is on our D1. It hasn't had to cope with anything yet except for a 3mm thick 300mmx300mm steel plate hitting it after falling off a trailer in front of us at 80kph! You can see the impact area on the red sticker. Glad I wasn't on a motor cycle! When I have time I will measure some thicknesses on it as well as the ARB bar on my Jap ute & put up them up.

OK. The front uprights on both bars measure 3mm or maybe 3.5mm (can't find my callipers. Had to use a tape). The bumper bars are the same as is the tubing O.D.
The mountings for the fog lights are crappy plastic so I drilled through the bumper & bolted them direct. The winch setup is a little different to the ARB but at a quick look I reckon the winch on the ARB would fit on the MCC.
