Pics of MCC bull bar on D1?

Was wondering if anyone has an MCC bull bar, if so would you post some pics?

I'm currently looking at my options for an airbag compatible bull bar and can't afford the $2,200 price tag for an ARB, would like a little more protection thant an Xrox.

Any pics on a D1 would be greatly appreciated, as all the pics on the net a pretty dismal.

    Cheers,

MCC is an Australian based bull bar brand that make bars in Thailand similar in appearance to ARB for about half the price.

And half the quality. A mate bent one on his Patrol, they seem pretty thin.

I had one, once. On a D2 I owned - but never again. The build quality was OK but it was thinner and much lighter than ARB etc.

The main problem on the D2 was where it mounted to the chassis. I thought it would be was impossible to prevent this bar from rotating into the bonnet after a hit. The opposite happened in day to day driving due to vibration. It rotated the other way so it was constantly sagging down.

The design may be different for a D1 but I would look at that aspect before shelling $.

I think an Xrox would give you more protection. The MCC bar is a bit cosmetic.

Well it seems all of my suspicions have been confirmed, slim pick'ns on the bull bar front. Looks like it's an Xrox or keep checking the wreckers for an ARB.

    Cheers for all the reply's

I may be stoopid but can't you use a RRc bar on a D1?

Plenty of ARB's for classics around.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I need something airbag compliant, I'm guessing RRC doesn't have airbags.

The soft dash 94 model most certainly has airbags

The D1 doesn't have crush cans like the D2 so a RRC one is more likely to fit than a D2 bar.
