Hi cap sump sound a good idea. Where did you get it?
Keith
correct. my manual had plans for building the adaptor plate. i just built a box out of thick wood and bolted it to jack. worked well enough.
4wd industries is where i bought mine from as shown on the ebay link. it has an extra hole tapped at 3/8npt to allow for a temp sender to be fitted. i bought a 3/8npt to 1/8npt adapter to fit into it so that i can put a vdo oil temp sender in there when i finally hook up my ems2.
jut caught this thread again...
follow all the advice above ad its easy enough to do in situe.
dowel bolts are hte important bit and dont try to hang it on or pull it in using the casing bolts, ir you can strip the ally out of the housings.
it takes 2 very strong people to hand lift the tcase in and out but its easier to do with the jack. I advise removing he handbrake drum before you tart in o it because you are going to grab at it at some point and as it s not connect ed to anything it is going to turn and you are going to swear.
loctite 243 for all the bolts
be careful of the seal on the Tcase bumping it on the output shaft of the box is enough to knock it out of position and damage it and it'll leak on you.
if you dont have 3/8th 14 or 9/16th for the prop shaft bolts get the tool for thm
From memory the ratio changes from the auto to the manual it wont stop it from working but it will buy you the time to get you a reapair on the exisitng box

Great advice from Dave to remove the handbrake, that's how I installed mine by myself, it just takes a stack of weight out and a potential faux pas removed when man handling the bugger back in.
