    you mean the struggling to rev higher than 2.5k? is this a blockage issue? maybe at the sediment filter near tank? if my car has one...

    I can see just over 4K when booting it in traffic so its being restricted somewhere/ somehow.

    thing is, it sounds like its doing more. at 2500rpm almost sounds like she's at full power. im wondering if when i changed alternator few years ago, maybe i put one with small pulley so now it says it's doing 2500 when its actually doing 4000. would this be a possibility? how are the alternator and kms travelled linked in a disco?

    i'll start a new thread regarding this. this cylinder head one has been very useful but i think it's time to rest it.

    i'll check when im driving home and post answer in the new thread. from guessing i would say about 60-70kmh. i have 245/75 tyres on though.

    i will confirm exact speed later.

    I'm doing 100kph at 2150rpm and taking in account the 265/75's that about 105 actual speed.

    Im surprised to hear that actually.
    I thought those duzzel things were geared a little different?
    My v8 disco sits in top gear 100kms at around 2k rpm.
    And i run 33s.

    Gearing is the same , your speed is taking into account the 11% or so under reading of your speedo ?

    I cant say how far its out exactly mate.
    However if i sit at about 92kms its pretty close to 100 so less than 10% i would say. I guess that would be closer to 8%??
    That is me using those speed reader things on some freeways. Not sure how accurate they are though.


    Also i use a speed app on my mobile phone which reads about the same as above. 8% i think.

    My 96 300tdi disco with 245/75/16 tyres does about 2100 - 2200 revs @ 100kmh.
