Discovery 1 loadspace led lighting pictures needed

Hi everyone, Just after some photos of load space led light strips people have set up, I've just ordered a set that I'll be installing on my boat and on the load space of my discovery, I've tried using the search function for this site and google and most of the things I've come across have been people describing what they've done or the thread has been so old the picture had expired

How have you mounted the wire for it? is there a spot further up the pillar where you can put the wiring through or do you have to run the wire right down to the current lighting before being able to take it behind the moulding

Simplest improvement is to replace the globe with an led circuit board.

Mine are mounted on the underside of the top of the rear window frame in the curves. the wiring goes through the frame of the door and the feed tube for the rear window heat and top stop light. from there down inside the rear trim to the internal cargo light. theres a swtich on the door and an earth switch so if you forget to turn them off they automatically isolate.

I also have a drop table in place of the back door trim.

Hanging from the child seat restraints is my work light.

I'm with Loanrangie, I put one of those SMD LED boards in the roof light in the back of the D1 and D2. Very bright. I previously put in an LED bar and wired it up but after the LED board it did not need it. Very easy to install.

Where does this light fit? are you talking about the light fitting thats above the back seats or installing another fitting on the roof over the loadspace, the only light I have in the loadspace I have at the moment is the little side light which is already practically useless now but once you actually use the loadspace as intended (I.E Loading basicly anything in it) that light is covered and basicly useless

Myself and loan range have update D1's. The light is on the roof in the load space. Maybe some don't have them. I ran a wire up the pillar from the side light and mounted some SMD LED stip lighting on the plastic mould above the door. That worked ok as well.
    Cheers, David.

I just hang one of those flexy waterproof LED camping strip lights from the cargo barrier. Plugged into a socket on the aux batter case, and has its own inline waterproof switch. :-)
