if its coming aerated from IP does this mean the IP is stuffed? or somewhere else. this is pretty new only had it replaced 1.5yrs ago roughly. not sure if it always ran like this or just after i did the work. pretty sure tacho has always been below 3k. never revved too high.

no it just means that air is getting into the fuel system somewhere and you need to find out where.

if the fuel coming out of the IP return line is bubble free then air is not getting into the system from anywhere between the tank pick up and the injector pump.

boost has no effect on the engine hitting full rated RPM under no load conditions.

I think he reported boost numbers over in the head change thread.

What if I have no fuel coming out of the return line - is this a sign that it is starving for fuel? It will rev ok and doesn't miss, but has the dreaded tick.

I have new seals for the sedimenter, bvut I have not put them on as yet,. I did take the sedimenter off 2-3 weeks ago and cleaned about an inch of gunk out of it.

    Thanks,
    Tom.

Is this the return line that i take off and check for aeration? The one right in middle of pic.

Pulled sedimenter off and cleaned it. Was actually very clean. Blew air down the lines to unblock (just in case). I'm checking the push rod right now to see if bent.p
