When you did the fluid change, I reckon rebuilding the calipers could have been beneficial too.
new seals clean out, inspect the condition of the pistons.(unless you know this has been recently done!)
If you do so, also think about braided lines to replace the old ones.
I've yet to do this on a car, but on a motorbike(well the one's I've done) the difference in feel is clear and marked! Well worth doing.
But then again on a bike when your finger's are frozen solid, every last 0.001% difference feels amazing.
I don't mind the hardness of the brakes as such, I want a bit more feel to them.
