    Rocker Shaft Springs

Here's one for the experts. The rocker shaft in the 300tdi has those metal strip type springs to space the rocker arms. I find this design to be particularly silly. can these be replaced with coil type springs instead? am i correct in believing that the 200tdi had coil springs?

Mine are fine. Not looking at changing anytime soon but seen thread on them rotating on shaft and being hit by valves or kinking and losing their resistance.

    Was just intested.

Am i right about the 200tdi having coils? Would these fit 300tdi? If you just get springs from spring shop would it just be a measuring thing or need right resistance on spring etc?

Just seems like a weird system they have. It can definitely be improved on.
