    I had these XA GT scoops fitted on the bonnet of my L34 back in the late 70's. NO idea if they worked but I thought they looked cool at the time. Should be plenty of them still around.

    Water to Air, yes from factory, the intercooler bricks sit above the charger.
    Electric water pump amd small tank and autocooler type cooler up front.

    so the conclusion to this thread is: that you need vents and front/side/rear facing scoops on your bonnet, but they should all have blanking plates in them.

    Start with perfect cooling system, then unobstructed rad, if still need more add scoop or vents in correct places
