    Hi Comp Forged Pistons/Rings
    New rods
    Bearings
    Cam ( Hi torque)
    Matched /Flowed injectors
    and....so on...

Received the engine back and spent a couple of days re fitting ..

Well......The results have exceeded my expectations !!! What a transformation in the old girl !! The bottom end torque is superb...... it pulls like a freight train...very very happy.

Still running in, and if it improves even more over the next few thousand K,s i will be stunned..

100% worth every dollar invested in the 4.6!!
Not good. I don't recall ever hearing of a 3.9 throwing a rod. Cheers

Does the 4.6 have a higher plenum chamber or are they the same as the 3.9 and 3.5?
    Cheers

I’ve got nothing to add apart from you’re not livin’ till you ventilate a block
And that is one seriously well executed ventilation

    But a little more seriously

I hope that combo of pallet plus redneck engine stand and ventilated block sitting alongside your driveway is a true shrine and will not be unceremoniously sent to the scrappers !!!

Did you keep the 14 CUX ECU or go with the TRS recommended Haltech conversion? The former can handle the fueling ok throughout most of the rev range but it can struggle at the top end when it leans out. A Tornado chip will help of course and cheaper
