Well thanks to everyone who provided advice to me in my which Disco thread. I decided on the 97 tdi rather than the 2000 V8 even though the tdi has 320,000 on th clock. The thing that swayed me was the service history on this thing. It had a stamp EVERY 8000kms and has not been off road. Purchased it with RWC and 12 months rego for $5000. It was soooooo stock it's not funny. This is my second Disco and I don't have much planned for it but I did purchase a $100 snorkel from ebay and whacked it on in the back yard also had to cut away all that horrible plastic at the front bar. Well I've made a few mods since I responded to this thread in May last year even though I stated there was nothing planned for it!!!. Disco was stock as below as when I took over ownership. I've put a few bits and pieces on since then. Front ARB bar, magnum 9000 winch, dyneema rope, front and rear diff guards, dual battery system, UHF in roof console, Ironman awning, black alloys, rear light, snorkel, roof rack, 30mm heavy duty king springs, new alternator, engine watchdog etc. etc. all done in the shed at home.

2" Tough Dog Lift
Tough Dog Return to center steering damper.
265/75/16 General Grabber Mud Tyres on
16x8 -25mm offset dynamic rims.
Ala-Plast Flare kit.

Only had it a few days....Doesnt have a lot of mods. Bullbar, spotties, electric brakes - trailer, twin batteries, rola roof racks, crappy side steps, UHF radio.

It's a 1997 300Tdi Auto. 260k on clock.
