I was looking at Expeditionexchange.com for what they've got available and came accross the disco ladder , I also liked their expedition style roofracks.

I bought a Genuine rear ladder from the Land Rover dealer in Brisbane for $180 - it took them a month to get it from England but I was in no hurry.

When I went to buy, there were also none in the country. It was the slow boat from UK for me. I got lucky though, as Land Vehicle Spares at Silverdale managed to track me one down somehow and overnighted it. Score! The 4WD was leaving for Cape York not long after.

i just bought one on EBAY. 45 quid. PLUS 80 quid to get it here!!!!! But the land rover people said NOT AVAILABLE and I lost an auction for one recently so just bit the bullet. I think I'm about $30 down on buying from Rover anyway!

Place neoprene on all mounting brackets of ladder.
Once neoprene is in place, place ladder on the door making sure ladder is lined up with the line of the door.
Mark placement for drill holes at ladder mounting points and place ladder aside. Use 11/64" metal drill bit to drill pilot holes for screws at the marked points.
Align ladder back in place and secure it on top with one screw. Step away and make sure ladder is still lined up. Once you are sure the ladder is lined up secure the ladder at the bottom with one screw.
At this point the ladder should be completely lined up and ready to be completely screwed into the vehicle to finish installation.
