Any location pictures would be great thanks!

The body of the compressor rotates 180° on the mounting base. e.g. You could rotate it 90° to the left or right to make it fit somewhere.
I was worried about it sucking in crap but I check the filter from time to time and so far its still clean inside. It gets covered in mud / dust and then hosed off to clean. The cap on the filter does a good job at protecting it from splashes.
Actually I'm happy I put it in the engine bay as it recently started spraying oil mist out when I disengaged the locker. ARB put new seals in the locker under warranty and also ran an airline from the exhaust port on the solenoid (on top of the compressor) to inside the chassis rail. At least if it starts leaking again in a couple of years I'll get some bonus rust protection.
