    Extractors are said to be overrated on these from the people I've spoken to. Then again if they can be had cheap like you say then maybe.

    I notice it doesn't have any of the ES woodgrain. Must not have had it that early on.

    They are a great cheap fun machine but don't expect too much from the 3.9 V8. Think VN Commodore V6 in a 2 tonne vehicle.

    Pretty much the only reason we considered it was that it was an ES and a manual. We've liked these particular Discos since they were new!

    We'd been looking at a 100-series Landcruiser with 2UZ/manual combination (2005 model with 14,000kms on the clock), but - nice as it was - it was just too expensive to justify. Speaking of rare, I'd suggest they're even rarer than ES V8 manuals...In fact (as a bit of trivia), I believe that Australia was the only market where they sold the LC100 V8s in manual. You certainly couldn't get them in the US...
