Hi Jason, I have not done this but have read about it. Apparently the rear seat is a straight swap and gives better seats and centre arm rest but the front seats require different mounts. Obviously it is a bit model dependant in regard to the RRCs.

I put a commodore seat in the drivers side, the bolt holes for the mounts sat out side the LR mounts.
We had to make it that the new seat down to match the LR seat height, as the dunnydore seat (VR/VS) was wider and 25mm higher. I removed dunnydore rails and welded a plate along the length of the LR seat rail and drilled holes to bolt in to the strength plate of the new seat. Also we put in bracing blocks, I must remind you that this is NOT engineered so NOT legal but an engineer did the work for me as I took parts to him not the whole seat.
Vision is a problem as I am 6ft and look right at the bottom of the windscreen tint so next windscreen will be all clear and no problem
My car is a 91 D1 3 door so my seat tilts and I have to make sure I pull the seat belt out of the way when putting seat down next time I will use the passenger seat on the drivers side and fix that problem.
Hope this helps.
