Nah but really, you mention 110 kph, I misread this as 110mph and remembered........................................ !
now 110kph is 68 & 1/3 mph no biggie, I blew an engine in my 300tdi (96) doing about 70mph/112kph, a blocked injector was blamed at the autotopsy, could have had something to do with the fact that earlier in the trip I was doing 104mph/167kph, now the top speed as I recall from the manual is something like 96mph/154kph ok only 8mph in it but it may have been to blame as it was over 40 odd miles continuosly!!, as you can imagine the wife was thrilled to bits (not) and even more annoyed when the replacement engine was £ 850 + vat + labour (nearly 2 grand in all shhhh), she wasnt impressed that the new engine had 45,000 less miles either......

    300tdi highway/cruising performance

Joker when this happened to my 97tdi it was a blown turbo seal on the inlet side. This allowed oil to be pumped through into the exhaust and heaps of smoke out the back.So much you could not see behind.
Since motor rebuild holds 110 klmph on freeway and pulls well in 4th up hills.I run 245X75X16 muddies.

The first post in this thread has a link to a pdf that's quite useful.
