I have my D1 insured for $20 000 agreed value with TCIS. Lifetime maximum no claim bonus with an excess of (I think) $300 and a premium of around $570. All my mods are listed with these guys with no dramas on mods or geographical limitations.

Our 4wd club were required to make a claim on it's policy placed via TCIS - the policy didn't hold up (despite it being a specific policy for a specified event) and the club went broke. As a consequence of that experience i would not nsure any of my vehicles with them.

Forty minutes closer to the hills in a house the bank is kind enough to let me live in

Wait for your renewal. Won't be so nice. Mine came and I was stunned.

Righto, my renewal has just arrived and as you predicted, it has risen. My premium is now about $200 more expensive, but added to that, my agreed value has taken a dive by $3500 and my excess has doubled!! I was just interested in who you ended up insuring with? My vehicle is not heavily modified structurally, I am just running a lot of accessories. There is nothing done to my truck that requires an engineers certificate (ATM anyway). I still think that this quote is within a reasonable range, I am just interested if I can get a better deal elsewhere.

    Insurance

I had both my Landy's with TCIS, until renewal time anyway. Their price went up by over $300 on each vehicle. So I am now with Shannons, same coverage, pay by month option, easy to deal with and great price.
    So shop around.

May be your where not enthusiastic enough with your 2a.

A chap at work with an HZ wagon which he has wasted lot's of $$$$$ on and reckons it's worth $15000 went to shannons. Result was $800 per year premium for a market value of $800, he is now not so enthused
