DISCO will not Turn Over - Help?

My 1995 V8 EFI 3.9L petrol S1 DISCO will not start.

New battery, fuel pump and harness, half tank fuel, no breaks in coil or coil wires.

    Please help me.

Try after cranking for a while pulling out a plug and set if its dry which will mean a fuel supply prob,if you have just replaced fuel pump can you hear it come on when you first turn the ignition key , should stay on for about ten seconds after turning key to on position.Might be as simple as a blowen fuse to fuel pump.If your plugs are wet then spark prob check to see if you can get a healthy spark from coil.

OK - just pulled a spark plug - BONE DRY! :-(

The battery is also a bit flat from all that cranking over

I have located and checked fuel pump fuse - all good.

    Battery now on charger...

    Next steps?

I would say perhaps check the connections on your fuel pump other than that I don't know..

    perhaps a blockage?

Have someone at the rear of the car & see if they can hear the fuel pump while you crank the engine.

If not, give the bottom of the tank a big hit & see if that fires the pump up.

    OK.

I just gave the fuel tank a hit and pulled out harness and re-inserted it into white plug. Nothing.

I cannot hear the fuel pump work.

The fuel pump has been replaced 2 months ago and I don't want to have to fork out another $500 for another damn pump :-(

    I am sinking fast...

    Nest steps?

Had similar prob with our fuel pump traced all
connections cleaned all terminals and sprayed with wd40. Pulled fuel pump out off tank cleaned the filter at the bottom of it tested pump it worked put it back in and fired up so was thinking typical rover loose connections .Has been running fine 9mths later.

Another thing to check is the inertia switch behind the washer bottle. If this has been tripped then it cuts out the fuel pump.

The pump itself and its associated wiring needs to be tested first, The quickest way to check this is inside the LH rear wheel arch is a small connector that is the loom to the fuel tank unit. try applying 12volts to the White/purple wire and see if the pump works.
