OK - I was abe to pull the pump, spray clean some terminals and then re-install it and the infamous red external thread ring.

pump now works because i can hear the 10 sec whirl sound and voltage tested as well.

Car still not run however but does turn over.

I need to locate my displaced spark plug spanner tool to undo the plug to see if it is wet. Damn - I need to buy yet another plug spannner!!

What happens if plug is still dry?

    THoguhts?

Got spark? Perhaps the infamous ignition module intermittent (then terminal) failure?

If you got fuel pressure (fuel pump working, shraeder valve test yields fuel), then at crank, check for spark with spare plug, timing light, etc.

    Good luck, watching with interest.

    BTW, where are you?

    Cheers

OK - got myself another plug spanner.

I try to turn but will not budge.

Before I strip threads, can someone please advise/confirm which way I should turn the plugs to remove them from block (CCW or CW)?

OK - plugs pulled - still dry.

I also took a plug out - then reconnected it's lead and then located it close to chassis and then i got the wife to crank it over - no spark.

I don't know if I correclty diagnosed the spark problem - can someone pease confirm.

So, what now? I hear fuel pump working but seems to be no fuel flow to engine and no apparent spark.

where is this infamous ignition module located ?

How do i diagnose this module?

Yes - fuel pump fuse re-checked and not broken....

    Help??

No spark could also be the electrical connection at the distributor, unplug it and check that the plug isn't corroded etc, and the module is just under the coil, LHF engine compartment. Have you got a multimeter? You need to have a minimum of 12v at the pos of the coil,(Plastic black female plug side of the coil) with ignition switched on. If not, then supply a 12v supply to the coil directly from the battery and try cranking again.
