Hi Joker,
I'm going through a simmilar issue at the moment.
If you want to keep the same set up but just change the pipe check out somewhere like Pertec for their metal flex pipe - not cheep but will handle the heat, about $45 a meter, mind you it looks good.

I looked at moving the airbox over like klappers but as I also wanted to use flex pipe, and do not have a solid adapter, there is not as much support for the airbox so I would not recomend it.

Like you I am open to all suggestions.

What is the point of running a snorkel if you are just going to run it past a bloody hot turbo anyway??? 300 degrees plus there. I would want to keep my intake as cool as possible, and try and make as much power as possible.
