What is wrong with my stupid Door!!!

I have had enough with my passenger door window....

We have just fitted the 3rd window regulator to it. the original broke wheel had snapped at the bottom seems very common.

after sticking a second hand but in very good condition D2 window winder+motor in it less than 6 months later its broken again the wheel had been forced out of the track.

Now just fitted a 3rd one and before even putting the trim on it sounds rough as, very much like the other one just before it failed and started to drop the window.

So its got to be the door......we have spent the last hour putting the window up and down trying to see if we can see where it might be catching and we can't see anything...

Also when the window reaches the top of the frame it looks like it pushes the top of the window frame into shape like it might be twisted or something also at the same time the main part of the window winding mech that is attached to the inner door skin then bulges out like its not supposed to be pushed up that far.

I have had it with this door and i refuse to change the window regulator winder things every couple of months...Has anyone else had issues like this with window mechs going catus in the same door over and over.

Mine crapped itself a while back, but I bought a brand new one from TR Spares. I was surprisingly not all that expensive from there.

I'd be checking the window alignment and making sure the rubbers are all ok and sitting in the tracks ok.

You could even lube the rubber. Seen all kinds of things used, graphite powder, rubber grease, silicone lube.

I'm positive its not the rollers...it can be the rollers on three different window units

Also baring in mind that i have had this car 4.5 years now......and this window problem as only presented its self in the last 12months.......The door has never been damaged while in my possession. so what has happened in th elast 12 months that would cause this to happen?

Mine did make a similar noise when i bought the car, took the window regulator out and the scisor arms were twisted, replaced it with a new unit from TR spares, hasn't been a problem since. You mentioned the window frame looking like its being pushed into shape, have you tried losening the frame off and trying to re-align it?

where are the bolts...we looked for this option and came to the conclusion that it must be all one unit
