yeah anything over 30 inch will need some form of camel cut. I have 245/75/r16 maxxis bighorns and did a standard camel cut flexed the car on ramps and everything cleared fine, however after doing a few tracks i found that the side lugs were catching still so have had to trim more off.

    D1 Tyres

If you really want to get some lift and bigger tyres, l have put 285/75/16's on offset Dynamic Rims.
Had the cut the guards right back and put rubber flares on.
This is on a 2' suspension lift, but l am about the go 1 further a do a 2' body lift as well.
With the steel offsets, no worries with radius arm rubbing !!
Probably not the greatest as an every day drive,
The Muddies do get noisy to.
If you only want to do a camel cut, then 265/75/16's would be the best bet.
Just depends on your rim selection also.
    Cheers Dave

I'm running 31x10.R15s (equivalent to 265/70R16s) mud tyres on my D1 with 2" lift. They're mounted on 15x7" rims with P19 offset. Note that the offset will have a big effect on what will fit. Stock D1 rims are 16x7" P33. With the P19 offset it pushes the tyres outboard a bit (14mm) and a Camel Cut just won't cut it (Geddit...?) - as it also rubs on the front upper "corner" of both rear guards. Front tyre clearance is totally OK. Note also that technically the amount of lift is irrelevant, unless you extend your bump stops or limit suspension travel in some way.
I'm limited to 31s due to my auxilliary fuel tank in the rear wing... rubs as it is

    Thanks for the info guys,

I think I will look for some 235/85/16 to start with and see how they go. As the car gets more mods in the future I can then look at other options. I just have to get out there and give it a good go and meet other and see what they have done.

    Thanks, David.
