D1 (Gumboot Spec) Whats the best lift combo

    Gidday Punters,

Been watching a few threads on lifts and tyres.
Just went the full monty and gave the old Gumboot a Nip/Tuck & Wedgie
As far as a good combo, a 2" suspension lift & a 2" body lift certainly does the job>
After a full guard cut & a set of 33"s Silverstone Mt117s on Dynamtic Offset Rims, the car has gone from a shopping trolley to a very capable off road machine.
This car has a rear ARB Locker, and soon to have a front locker.
Dual batteries, Snorkel, ARB Bully & soon to have heavy duty axles and pro shocks.
Good combo and worth considering as a good overall performing vehicle.

Dig some holes, then test your flex on the beach

    mate that looks unreal!

sure they're just 33's though? lol they seem a lot bigger than that! or is just me?

also what offset are the Dynamics? i got a set waiting to go on my Disco, hoping they're the same/similar offset as yours for the wide stance

The Rangie is Greg from Outcast Offroad.
His brother Darren also has a RR with similar set-up.
They did all the mods to my car.
Top guys & we get out as much as possible together.
Here is a good pic of this articulation

    Hey Matt,
A 2" suspension lift is the first step for sure.
Then you can still stay with the current tyres you have.
If you want to go a bit more out there, buy offset rims & put 33's on.
You will have to cut the guards with offsets.
There have been plenty on ebay lately, but also look on the forum market place.
With my car, no worries with gravity.
Just power on through the corners.
But must admit the offsets really help, and no worries with rubbing on the radius arms.
Shop around, as there are some pretty cheap 2" lift kits on the market.
Also some really cheap second hand ones .
    Cheers Dave
