    V8 heater coolant valve

According to RAVE, V8s have a vacuum operated coolant valve that cuts the flow of coolant to the heater when both temp controls are in the 'cold' position.

Do all D1 V8's have this? My '97 doesn't seem to have any valves on the heater pipes.

Only the first of the update D1's had this valve. Yours doesn't.

Mine has it, but I was told it was discontinued soon after. I don't know why, as it hasn't given any trouble. Cost cutting?
