    Land Rover remote central locking is rubbish. Mine 5hits me every other day. I read something on the net a while ago describing a proceedure to lengthen the aerial for the ecu. Otherwise, hold the fob to your forehead ... it does work!

    We have 3 remotes for my wifes 98 D1, 2 remotes work lock and unlock the other only locks, when i pulled it apart the unlock button looked ok but it fell apart when i touched it. i blamed my wife for droping it all the time.

    When you do the unlock/lock thing 5 times, make sure you allow the unlock and lock to fully operate in the time required. That is, allow for the flashing lights to stop, then go again. Rushing the sequence will not make it work.
