    Silicon Hose

I have fitted silicone hoses (Terra Firma) but the hose that fits to the turbo keeps coming off, tried a couple of different clips all worm type thread but it still is coming off. Hose seems to be not cut straight and the clip is hard to get straight... any ideas on how to get it to fit?

I had the same problem, silicon hose with a small amount of oil on it got very slippery, so much so that the original hose clamp wouldn't hold. D bolt from supercheap sorted it. Popular with the kids with their fully sick pulsars, but actually useful on landrovers...

Don't think I've ever treated a throttle so gingerly after it popped off yesterday! The Terrafirmas seem a bit soft as well from what I saw of yours yesterday.
Had a look today to see what I had available for you but all our CAC clamps are 3" and above for Cat, Cummins etc and the Mercedes Benz Sprinters etc use a relatively STD clamp.
    Cheers for the drive yesterday.

    Cheers Andrew!
Well it seems sorted however I would try the Simco next time as it may be firmer!
Best of luck with the map, if you head Williams way to see Andrew let me know!

    I had excactly the opposite.
With heavy duty clamp the hoses was blown off all the time.
Replaced them with "Norma" clamps and thus far never came off.

The clamp must never go over the edge of the hose.
If it does or even comes close it will be pushed off the hose.
I also found that some hoses are on the short side and getting them to fit properly take a bit of wiggling if at all possible.

The best hoses I have seen are the 5 plies from BAS in the UK and they are grey too.
