Hello again UrbanPanzer.
I run a similar suspension setup like you(sls spacers etc.)and i am due to changing to +2" terrafirma shocks,u say 10-20 mm (crossmember) spacing is enough?
My cross member is spaced with a 13mm (1/2") ALi block under each side, as that was "readily" available at work
and as far as I can tell / do with a trolley jack etc on the drive, its enough to clear the front prop now, without the spacer it DEF hit it.
At the rear end - and according to my measurements,i'll have no problem with the airbag(overextended or something)?
Should i order brake hoses before installing the shocks, the abs cables needed "reseating" or the slack they have is enough?
My advice is yes fit longer hoses with +2" shocks, The ABS lines can be carefully "pulled" through each grommet to give enough length, the clip that holds the plug on the inner wing can be moved if need be, (already moved my passenger side one when installing ARB battery tray) or move the ABS plug itself into only the lower half of the clip, this is on the front, on the rear theres not much more ABS line to be had, but you can move it to the lower part of the clip to give a "little" which I think is enough on the rear. Some SLS kits come with a bracket to relocate the brake line etc lower on the chassis outrigger (4x4intelligence "I think") but that bracket would have been no good on mine for example as the fixed brake line would not be / was not long enough to move down that far, so the extended hoses remove the need for the bracket and give the extra length required.
I was thinking of installing the shocks and go for a (off-road) test drive, take measurements again etc..- but since you did the job, spell it out mate-what else did you see-observe?

(time to update the mod page on your excellent site)
Have not got round to it yet
When i installed the rear spacers i used 2 jacks to move the axle from full compresion to full drop(with the airbags deflated),i saw when the axle touches the bump stop, the original shock had 1"-1.5" uptravel left(upper shock mount is high enough),so i guess the +2" shocks won't bottom out-albeit the (deflated)airbag, couldn't shrink-collapse any more,
so i guess maybe 1" bump stop extension - for the peace of mind - is needed?
Still considering a +2" bumps stop extension on the rear, because the spacer below the bag will push the lower piston of the bag 2" further up, and from thininkg about it, It seems "possible" the 2 bag pistons could touch internally, don't know what the outcome would be but dont want to find out either lol, the bump stop would provide peace of mind "imo", although mine has had the wheels on the rear stuffed up into the arches pretty much recently on a play day and no problems arose from that.
Plus that i don't think that an sls disco axle ever touches the rear bump stops (unless parked with leaking bags!!)
Agree with this mostly.
Thanks
Sorry for hijacking the thread
