I'm with alliance and did enquire as to being covered offroad. The response was as long as you are on a designated road/track your covered, I said what does that mean? I said does it mean as long as your not bush bashing? and she said yes. Well how do you interpret that?. I think I'm covered but yeah when it came too the crunch? Who knows!!!.

And that is about the strength of it :-/ The answer I got was much the same, A designated track means it is marked on a map, as to what scale the map is is another can of worms!
Given that I have the other much more capable off roaders means Im unlikely to test this ! HaHAHA (famous last words and all that). If I was going to use the D2 liek that I would most defiantly be happy to pay for proper off off road cover, so it really is horses for courses I guess.
and bear in mind they are in the business of making money, not handing it out!

Yeah unfortunately I think it would be up in the air as to who's interpretation of designated track would win out

    ● replace all insured accessories or pay you the cost to replace them as new, less depreciation.

Gee I don't like the fact they depreciate the accessory, I had my bullbar replaced through Aami at full replacement cost, I just got my insurance done for my new D3 and after I got up off the floor and gave them a few words they dropped it by $700 ( original quote was $1450 down to $750) it's amazing what happens when you tell them you are looking elsewhere with all of your policies! It's still AAMI at rating one.

I have insurance organised through 4wd Association via brokers TCIS, which is off road specific. Includes a clause specifying cover for off road activities anywhere in Australia including water crossings. Originally cover was with Allianz but when cover went from $1100 to $1400 last year I spoke with TCIS who arranged a new insurer for about $1000. Its not cheap insurance, but Sydney & NSW is expensive and the type of cover is worth it for me. Don't want to have an argument over whether the track was a designated road or not.

My insurance came in last week or so. $1050. I cant understand their logic, I'm in a country town, I have not made a claim on a car, been with them for years, and am certainly not under 25yo(in my 40's). I asked them ""WHY"". Usual response, claims in your area, price of parts blah blah blah. After being with them for years I said time to part our ways and for $750 per year, GIO full comp $15400 agreed value. I figured that will do me!

Just had mine last week from RAC, $583 renewal, from what I've seen it's worth sticking with, agreed value of $16,900, free windscreen replacement, 38yo with full no claims.

Do you know the amount of discount you receive for being a member of LROCV?

I'm currently insured through TCIS brokers and get a discount for being part of a 4WD club. The approx 15% discount is only applied to their broker fee and works out to $5.50.

    2003 td5 d2a, I'm 23, insured full comp for $18000 with Just Car, $1300/year.
Last year was $1100 but it's gone up even though I went down to rating 1. They told me it went up for everyone, I think floods and other natural disasters can be partly blamed

    wtf am I doing wrong...
    AAMI...
    agreed value of $11000
    Yearly premium of $2000
I get why the premium is so high, but why is my agreed value so low?
