    3 years ago I had all my insurance with APIA (2 cars, contents, house, landlord). Good service and value for money. I now have none - they became very expensive about 2 years ago. My 2004 Disco, insured for $20k, is via TCIS for about $950.

    $511 with a $600 excess, $15k agreed value. (I have home and another car with them). $38yo driver.

    They said it's covered for off road (but not races/rallys)

    Just wanted to insure it to drive it home to Brisbane, so I'll see what it's like when I get the PDS.

    Question

    There is a fair bit of variety here....I haven't heard anyone talking about the right to choose your own repairer....very important to me....not to some of you?....I know that some, including Shannons, allow you to choose.

    We haven't got our "90" yet, but chosing my repairer will be important to me, when it is delivered.....hopefully in around 5 months!

    QBE, $86 per month ($1032 pa) 2000 td5 auto with stuff, insured for ~$16000, $650 excess.
    I get to choose my repairer, but no right to wreckage, which I believe Shannons give you
