    Where to put CB radio

    Hi All
Over the last few years I have had the CB installed on the overhead console but I find it hard to see and change channels but there seems to be limited places to install it in the Disco so any suggestions would be great. The radio I have is a GME3200
    Regards
    Doug

    Doug,

I am looking at mounting a GME TX4600 in the D2 at the moment.

I am either going on the roof where the sun roof switches would normally be or on the dash in the centre, this way you cant be hit in the head by a flying hand piece.

The GME 3200 should fit in the overhead map holder, I am sure I have seen it on here mounted there. Check previous threads there were some photos.

I installed a dash pod from Dept of Interior and mounted the cb in that. Go to their website for pictures. High position of driver's seat means the vision over the dashpod isn't impaired. Also gave me space for couple of gauges. I got the one with the recess on the top which is convenient place for maps, pens etc.
