    combined Engine Saver/ Tm-2

    Morning all

I'm about to fit one of Dayvs' combined Engine Saver/ Tm-2 units, But still not sure where to mount it. Anyone have any pics?. I have done a search but cant find any pics of it in a D2 dash.

    Thanks
    Dylan

I'm pretty sure I have seen a pic with it mounted in place of the ashtray but I can't find it either.

Hello, just put in the TM2 with water sensor last week. Still taking average temps to set the alarm( I'm getting about 80-82 average so far). I ran the heat sensor off the back of the motor (thanks for the advice from Aulro members) and ran the water sensor across to and around the back the ABS module, then around the back of the engine bay and cut through a grommet on the drivers side into the cabin. You can see the rest from there. I ended up splicing it into the big yellow wire on the ignition(turbo timer conected there too). The wires for both senders are protected in the engine bay by that curly cable protector stuff and anchored with plenty of zip ties. Took a while, but looks ok to me. You can do a visual check of the temp by looking through the gap in the steering wheel. I don't think that it really needs to be high up on the dash to see it as it is an audible alarm.
And my seat is adjusted so that my knee doesn't bash or rest against it.
I hope this helps, it works well for me.
    Pic 4 is taken sideways

    Cheers,

    Jason

All fitted. Removed the coin holder, ground out the guides, cut a hole in the face plate and fixed back in place.

Ive just ordered one of Davys coolant/overheat sensors.
Have had them on both our vehicles. Now the Rangie is gone, this one is for Debs Defender.
Which bolt at the back of the head are you guys using for the overheat sensor???
At least it should be easy to find on a Defender, the mojo sits HEAPS further forward.
