JC is on the money again. One of the horns behind the grill gets full of water, blows the fuse which also works the cruise control.Remember there are two lots of fuses, one lot in the engine bay, others under the dash drivers side.I think it is under the dash?

Was going to be my suggestion too.

    Pull, don't push.

I'm still getting used to the everything back to front aspect, so I will try and pull the cruize button towards me. I will also check the fuse under the bonnet as well. I'm currently at Leinster working in the mines so I will get back to everyone . Thankyou for the replies and solutions to the cruize control issue.

Original symptoms with mine were that although the cruise control would set, it was slow to take up the tension, and seemed to struggle holding speed. It was common to set the speed and have the car immediately drop 10kph. If the cruise control backed off for a downhill, it was not able to recover without a dab on the throttle with my foot.

I replaced the cruise control pump with a second hand unit - immediate success. Stripping down the old one today revealed the pump diaphragm had a small delaminated patch near it's outer edge. Obviously this was leaking air. I very much doubt it would be repairable. Replacement of the whole pump would seem the only option.

    Question Still no luck

I have checked the fuses both inside and under the bonnet, they are good. The cruize control dash button has an orrange light when pressed, which is good. And I have tried pulling the Set button to engage cruize, but still nothing. I looked at the cruize/throttle cables and they are intact with good tension.

Maybe the Cruize Control Pump is the issue, but I'm still getting to know my Disco and would like a decription of where to find it in the engine bay?

    I really appreciate everyones help.

My TD5 has a dodgy contact on the resume button, it will work if I click it in a particular spot. Maybe your set button is the same?
