My D2a is EU3 emmissions compliant (has the cooler infront of the head).
Was quicker and simpler to just remove the EGR complete, and put the blanking plate on the EGR side of the little heat exchanger/cooler ... otherwise you need to replumb the water lines that go to/from that cooler if you remove it, and I believe sometimes the allen head studs in the manifild can be almost impossible to remove without destroying the head/snapping them off in the manifold! I've left the manifold to cooler pipe intact.
