I have a Traxide SC40 in the D2, never had a problem, Tim (AKA Drivesafe) is great to deal with and will help in any way he can, the kit comes with EVERYTHING you need to install it.

    Traxide

so the Traxide kit installation is ok for someone who seems to be electrically retarded like me then?

    Hi Paul,

One of the considerations on which controller you use is whether you wish to make use of some of your main battery's power to power your auxillary needs and hence extend the available power and running time (like the Traxide, which is what I will be using) - or not, like the standard Redarc controller.

If you have a decent sized main battery like most D2's do then I would go for the Traxide. If you are paranoid about not using any power from the main battery and happy to have less available for running a fridge etc then go for the Redarc, as it cuts off the main battery from the auxillary when it's still almost fully charged.
    Cheers

    Traxide

Agree with Redback. I fitted the SC80 controlling the deep cycle battery in the rear of my Disco and it works a treat. Drivesafe very helpfull when I had a problem (my fault).
