Door Trim Clips
I am a wee bit embarassed to post this but I must be doing something wrong because I am having a **** of a time lining up and breaking the clips on the drivers door of my D2. I have always put the christmas tree bits on the little plastic insert in the trim panel first and then tried to line up/push/smack the whole thing on to the door itself. Is there a better way to get the christmas trees lined up with the holes in the door?
PS For the back door, I threw away the expensive, fragile, little christmas tree thingys and the silly door hole inserts and used simple, cheap, robust, Ford trim clips.
Thanks

Method Sounds Ok
Bilbo
I did it twice on the weekend for the same door. Pulling the black window lining off from the inside of the car can make it easier. I line up the top ones first and get them in. Make sure none of them are on the **** (make sure they are straight). Once you have the top five or so in the rest should go in fairly easily.
Also a fair bit bum crack showing is needed. (I didn't snap any - both times, and no special tools etc)
Regards
Andrew
