Thread: D2 axle, short or long nose?

Hi,

I am in the process of ordering a rear TrueTrack for my Disco 2 TD5 year 2000 from America.
I was asked this question by the seller
"what axle do you have in the td5? long or short nose?"

Does anyone know what is this short/long nose? Is the seller thinking of some other vehicle?

Short nose diff refers to P38 type diff,rumors say that it was fitted to 4.6 disco 2's but no one i asked has ener seen such a diff on disco 2.
I currently fitted 2 Air lockers on mine (2002 td5),both RD128 type(ordinary rover axle center)
