Lateral stability almost of a MTZ due to centre band.
    Good wet weather handling
Clear mud nearly as good as the Claw
Better forward drive in slop than the MTZ
    Cheaper!

Mate I don't know if you are making a joke here or trying to be serious, but MT-117 in the wet? Do you mean onroad or offroad? If offroad yes, excellent, but onroad, i just about have an accident at every intersection, and thats even taking it easy. They are the most terrible onroad tyre I could think of haha. As Hendrik said, they are noisey as all hell and they even vibrate the car and also have no grip on the tarmac at all. Hence why I only run mine on the weekends now.

Mate I would definitely go for the MTZ if I had the $$$ great tyre as far as I can tell, a few of my mates run them and they love them.

    Cheers,
    Shamo

Hated mine, measured way undersize, way narrower and were lethal as on anything that carried speed......and that was my comparison to the same size Simex ET's I had at the time, they were put on and in less than 5k replaced

Mate that's a pity, not good news, weird how some love, some hate. I measured my extremes and they were just on 35" , I heard about the under sizing.

    Wasn't joking re the MT117s
Handled fine at speed on wet highway and never an issue braking hard in the wet.
Noisy yes, but in a Defender never noticed it.
Slow speeds induced a known vibe as it rolled lug to lug. Pressures play a huge part in how noisy they are.
