I don't think this ended up going any further.

Check out Aedofab in the USA if you want one, that is where I purchased mine from a couple of years ago.

nah....its still going. The prototype has been developed further, its now almost production ready.....come in a flat pack, simple assembly...

Id give you his details but he'd kill me

(he is too busy doing his td5 conversion)

Is this payback for ramming your finger with my jack?

I have 2 that are ready to go... but....

I ran out of time with the laser cutters last year so they are not perfect (some holes don't line up) but i will pick that up again soon.

the flat pack idea sort of works but the mounting hardware i originally was going to use (rivnuts) isn't up to the job of 2 batteries an i am worried that they will fail once you start to bounce around off road. At this stage i am going to weld them up until i find a better stronger solution.

    Ill post some picks tonight

What about welding captive nuts in place of the rivnuts?

You could weld an M8 nut on there and using an M8 bolt and spring washers or similar it should be strong enough.

If you think it might flex when driving over rough terrain you could add some bracing between the mounting legs to remove any twist.

This is version 1 of the tray

The newer version has higher sides on the tray and the corners missing so they don't have raised lips due to the bending process..

    ECU Mount

    Tray mounts
