I think anymore would be too hard.

Vern before you pull the trigger check your rear mounts to make sure the pin on the mount is a uniform size. Mine is a little tapered and so I've changed it - therefore rear isn't bolt in.. But if you are going for 12s then you must be moving the mount anyway.
Also I had to increase the size of the pin mount hole on the axle housing because my lower pin on the shock was much thicker than standard. Won't be a problem if you are using pin converters - I modified the actual shock with big pins.
Also valving kits are not too dear if you want to change later.
Also not critical but I have found the paint scratches off very easily leaving what in time will be rusty scratches.. So im looking for some high temp clear coat to stop them getting to shabby to quickly.
Hey mate,
Do you have some experience in pulling these apart?
I want to extend the length of the hose to the external reservior. I'm hopping it's just gas in the line and I can just release the pressure, change or extend the hose then have them regasses with Nitrogen?
Happy Days.
Not yet :D but there are a few good videos on YouTube about them... Doesn't look hard. I think you will have to drain the oil though if you change the reservoir hose.
Flagg, have a look at RTE rear shock mounts, thats what I used when I put the 7100s on my RRC

Thanks Nick, that is what I ended up with. :)
Hey Vern,
We pretty much have this sorted out now.
This is the rear set up - I ended up having custom lower pins and clamps made by a mate with a CNC machine for me to my design.
Front set up uses the same lower pins, but custom turrets (+35mm in the case of my car) and mounts for the remote canister that fit on the turret. will chuck up more pics for you when I get them.

Those clamps looks great!!
I need some advice of the hose linking the shock with the reservor.
I have contacted Sydney Suspension and they can change the hose, top up the oil and regas them for me but they cant supply a longer hose and recommend I just get one made up at a Hydrolic shop.
I have a pretty good relationship with the guys at Enzed her in Darwin and they said they can make just about anything I need. We can remove the hose to check the thread and they should have the fittings in stock. Sydney shocks will top up any lost oil.
The question is how much pressure is that hose likely to hold. I'm imagining a fair bit but I want to make sure the hydraulic hose will be enough.
Enzed said the steel braid on the outside is usually only for cosmetics as hydraulic hose will have 4 layers of steel braid with rubber inbetween and a final rubber sheath to protect the steel braid.
Any advice appreciated.
Happy Days.
