Hi Weekender
I made mine used 20mmx5mmx75mm flat steel
for the centre diff spigot threaded rod and eye bolt,
bolt the eye to the flat with countersunk screw, joiner for the rod and eye bolt.
rest as per plan. All else as
others have said.

I got mine sent over from Ashcroft transmissions in the UK. Including postage it was 300 pound, about 400 AUD at the time.
Easy as pie to fit and it looks the business, great value. Allows reliable shifting (popped out once downhill, embarrasingly, but tightened the cables and now OK) and can select any combo of lock and ratio.

I got the whole deal from triumph rover spares. I didnt have a CDL at all so bought the tfer case shifter and all the gear required. Its all genuine, all the lights work ,bolts straight in and works great. I am very happy with the setup and I can use it in high or low and change on the move.![]()
To all who replied - thanks this has given me something to think about and it was all very helpful.

Me too, once again I'm blown away by the support and knowledge of people in this forum , I cant wait until I actually learn enough to be able to contribute in a positive way. Thank you all, cheers, Bob.![]()
Just a small note, if you start the vehicle with the CDL engaged, it is ONLY the TC that is 100% disabled.
Saw a comment here the TC is crap.... it isn't!
The combination of CDL WITH TC is fantastic on loose dirt and if you don't want to go down the (fairly expensive) route of lockers, it will get your rig with open diffs through some pretty surprising terrain.
I'll be refitting the lockers from my old D2 into the D2a as soon as possible as I find the lockers are great when towing the camper over the rough stuff (can go much slower). But as I said, lockers are a pricey item, if you don't want the expense, the TC will work well for you.
If you can, get hold of a real LR set of linkages, it's far better than the AMV electric job, it's simpler and not prone to failing when it gets wet.

Mine came with what appears to be the AMV electronic CDL. It never worked since I bought it. What usually buggers up on them?

[QUOTE=wardy1;1383436]Saw a comment here the TC is crap.... it isn't!
If the post was read in its entirety.....
That would be my comment and it was in response to the poster who has NO CDL....
So yes in his case running with only TC .... TC is crap
TC with CDL / Locker etc isn't!!!!
However I as many other have found TC does cause issues in Sand and other mediums...
And if it wasn't Crap as was, there wouldn't have been a Landy owning uproar about No CDL and a re think for the later models...
And AMV, Ashcrofts and a multitude of others wouldn't have gone out of their way to provide something....
But thats just my thoughts...
